Please be advised that you will be billed for any sessions missed or cancelled with less than 48 hours notice, except in the case of an emergency. Payment will be processed at the end of each session using the credit card stored in your Jane App profile and a receipt will be emailed to you in the name of the person the session was booked under.

I’m happy to receive brief email updates on you or your child before sessions (emphasis on ‘brief’). However, any emails that take more than a minute or two to read and/or respond to will be billed in 15-minute increments. Please keep in mind I’m a slow reader and, though I will want to, I am prohibited by the BCACC from giving advice or direction via email or text.

I often get asked for referrals to other counsellors and psychologists, so below is a list of people I know and highly recommend:

Bruce Cairnie, M.Div., RPC has been a pastor and chaplain and now works as a clinical counsellor and member of the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association. Located in Langley, British Columbia, he offers counselling to clients working on issues of trauma, grief and loss, relationship development and other transitions, stress management and resilience. Glen Davies, PhD, R.Psych. is a registered psychologist and works with children and families while directing the Able Clinic in West Vancouver and Surrey. He is responsible for a large staff of experienced therapists. His office addresses are: #110 585 16th Street, West Vancouver and #6-15243, 91st Ave., Surrey. He is registered with the College of Psychologists of BC.

David Gustafson, MA, PhD is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) who works in trauma, justice / forgiveness and leadership development. His involvement in advocacy has taken him around the world in assisting those aggrieved by violence. His rates start at $150 for counselling and $250 for consulting and conferencing. Peter La Grand, MC, MA, RCC is registered with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors, holds a Masters of Counselling (City University of Seattle), and a Masters of Arts in Theological Studies (Regent College). Peter has been an urban pastor (Artisan Church), and has worked in many mental health settings, including working with vulnerable people in Vancouver’s Downtown East Side. Cristina Lima, MSW, RCC is a social worker from Brazil and has worked in private societies building advocacy teams. As a Registered Clinical Counsellor, her area of speciality is in family work with parent-child development. Eli Norman, MA, RCC, is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with over 15 years of experience helping individuals and families through not-for-profit organizations, faith communities, and counselling agencies. Jolie Lambkin, MA, RCC, is a Registered Clinical Counsellor as of 2022 but has over 20 years of experience in the helping field. For most of her career Jolie has been a youth worker on the North Shore, offering mental health support, crisis interventions, and ongoing relational bridging directly with adolescents and their families or schools.
